My granddaughter is going to be seven years old so I'm off to Baltimore for her birthday party. It is normally a ten hour drive but since I stop frequently to take pictures of the beautiful scenery or stop at unusual sights it often takes me up to double the time. I stayed the night in Roanoke Va to go to "The Black Dog" architectural salvage warehouse. So many times I've driven through Roanoke and thought about stopping but don't, so now's the time. What a place. You want an airplane propeller, nuts, screws, bolts, slab of tin, crazy chandiler, whatever you want, trust me they will have it. A must stop for the curious .
