Destination Baltimore Maryland

My granddaughter is going to be seven years old so I'm off to Baltimore for her birthday party. It is normally a ten hour drive but since I stop frequently to take pictures of the beautiful scenery or stop at unusual sights it often takes me up to double the time. I stayed the night in Roanoke Va to go to "The Black Dog" architectural salvage warehouse. So many times I've driven through Roanoke and thought about stopping but don't, so now's the time. What a place. You want an airplane propeller, nuts, screws, bolts, slab of tin, crazy chandiler, whatever you want, trust me they will have it. A must stop for the curious . Check it out on You Tube to learn all about "The Black Dog Salvage"

A Stop in Hagerstown, "Country Market"

You have to be able to restrain yourself here. So much stuff, and food you can't live without.
I did not take a detour to Europe. This is St Mary's Seminary and University in Baltimore. Beautiful architecture.
Driving past Baltimore Country Club Golf course at just the right time. Breyer Stallions that my granddaughter painted.

Sophie's Birthday Party

This is a long way from Pin the Tail on the Donkey that we played on our birthdays.
